Motorcycles, fryup, USAF Museum, Tortoise and CAKE

After our transport cafe scoff, we called in to a newly opened Museum at the WW2 RAF Fowlmere airfield,

in memory of the RAF & US fliers who operated from there. It had been created by a small group of locals, and is housed in an original Nissen hut.

Then it was off to Mel Vintons for tea/coffee and cake and meeting his family of tortoise.

Refreshments at Mel Vinton’s home where we enjoyed copious amounts of delicious cake washed down with tea coffee and squash
