Weren't we lucky! After the torrential rain of yesterday, the Hobbsons Choice Run stayed dry, thanks goodness. Thanks to Mike, Pat and helpers for hosting another successful Sunday. Today, Tony Porter and Mel Vinton put on a shower-dodging double-act taking us from Waresley Garden Centre to the Silver Ball, and then on to Fowlmere Manor for tea and cake and to inspect the tortoises. Thanks both for leading, to Alan for scooping us up impeccably, and to Gill and Karen for "hostessing". A lovely day...
After the planned July meeting was a complete washout, the August Ride a Bike Night was a very pleasant evening - both weather-wise and socially. The bikes that attended ranged from a 98cc New Hudson to an 1140cc Honda, and from an age perspective from 1929 to 2023. Neil at The Hoops made us very welcome. The only mishap I'm aware of...

The funeral took place of our long standing friend and member Tom Nicholls on 19th July 2023 Tom's "last ride" was in a Triumph sidecar outfit 'hearse' with the coffin decorated with motorcycle images and his crash helmet laid on top - very fitting. His son, Wayne, followed the hearse on a Harley Davidson that he had ridden up from Canvey Island...
