Anglian Section Notes February 2020
The December club night was notable for a fascinating presentation from long-distance rider John Young. John told us about his love for Triumph Trident triples, and how he used a 1969 model to compete in the 2011 Iron Butt rally in the USA. This event comprised visiting all 48 states of the mainland US in 11 days which meant an average daily mileage of no less than 1000 miles. We learnt of the preparations that John had to carry out in advance of the event and of the various trials and tribulations that he encountered. At our forthcoming February clubnight we are due to have a WW2 flavour, with our guest speaker, Donald Chiswell, telling us about Operation Sealion, and the Battle of Britain.
