Anglian Section Notes June 2017
Once again, Anglian section founder member Frank Dolman gave the section another fascinating talk, this time at our April meeting. It was called “Things that have gone wrong”, and was in relation to the various mechanical disasters that he had to remedy, during his time acting as mechanic, supporting Manx Grand Prix riders Martyn Orgee and Chris East. In addition Frank spoke about his own experiences in campaigning a 350cc Manx Norton on various circuits around the country. Incidentally, this year marked Frank’s 58th successful completion of the Pioneer Run, all on the same machine! The Section’s principal run for June is the Fenland Gallop, which starts at 10.30 on Sunday 4th June, from the Green Welly, Chatteris. With Fenland roads in their normal condition it will be a test for your machine’s fasteners, and your own tooth fillings.
