Anglian Section Notes March 2019
If you attended motorcycle club nights in the 1960s/70s you will remember those film shows where the club had hired a 16 mm film from people such as Castrol. Maybe even a bed sheet had been hung on the wall of the club room, to project the film onto. Very often the film missed the take up reel and ended up on the floor! What a difference there is nowadays. We merely have to connect a laptop to Wi-Fi and download or stream a YouTube film for everyone to watch. This was certainly the case with the Anglian section in February, where we watched a 50 minute film featuring a Belgian classic sidecar racing team, competing as part of the Continental Circus. In April our featured speaker will be our own David Miller, and no doubt his talk is going to be featuring de Havilland in one way or another.
