At last night’s meeting of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club I invited Andrew Jackson of SERV (Service by Emergency Response Volunteers) to talk to us about the voluntary work they do. They are a charity of volunteers transporting blood products, donated breast milk, patient samples etc, every day, night, weekend, & bank holiday, for the NHS. All in their own time, at their own expense. Our members dipped deep, and Andrew went away with £185 to help with their valuable work.

Coincidentally, back in the 1960s I did similar work with a predecessor organisation, which subsequently folded, but the need remained, and fortunately the gap was filled. Well done guys and gals!
