Firstly, a big thank you to John Barrett and Brigitte for organising this event.

9 machines (plus one pillion) entered. All successfully made it round the 70-mile route – most making it round in the dry. (Maybe I would have done if I hadn’t mis-read my route card!)

Delightful route, with some impressive views (for Cambridgeshire!), pretty villages, nadgery lanes. The Rising Sun at Halls Green looked after us at lunchtime, and we enjoyed some excellent home-made cakes at the finish. Some well-wishers at the beginning and ‘guest appearances’ at lunchtime meant a few more bikes were encouraged out on the day to support the event. Thanks to all those taking part – particularly those who travelled a good distance to joins us.

I’d like to think it will remain in the calendar for next year…
