About 15 of us gathered at Bottisham Airfield Museum and were made very welcome. Looking round the cafe, I did wonder if it was best just to cancel the ride and devote the day to coffee and chat.
Having lined up the bikes in front of the museums Mustang for a photo opportunity, we meandered into West Suffolk. Our destination – The Fox in Ousden, a new venue, who coped very well: a room to ourselves, decent menu, no pre-ordering required, ample parking.
It rained while we ate – but was dry by the time we were ready to return to Bottisham.
Very pleasant.
