Anglian Section Notes April 2019

Michael Martin (ex BSA Group Chief Development Engineer) came to our March clubnight, and he told us of his (reluctant!) involvement with the Ariel 3 project. Ian Jamieson also brought along his trials Bantam, RED T2, which had been put together in 1966 by the comp. shop of BSA and primarily used by Brian Martin (BSA Competition Manager and brother of Michael). It has a modified Bushman frame, Trials Cub swinging arm, C15T forks and a modified Victor GP tank. The engine was heavily modified internally by the Redditch Engine Department and Michael Martin (hence the RED engine number).
