Anglian Section Notes (September 2022)
Plenty of riding available in August. Thanks to Mike Hobbs and family for hosting the Hobbson’s Choice run with a smashing route into Huntingdonshire, and a good spread for lunch. Midweek rides aplenty throughout the month. A trip out to the Silver Ball, and then on to visit Mel Vinton’s tortoises – watch where you stand! As we’ve been good, Roger Burton let us play with his train set – and spoilt us with tea and biscuits whilst we nattered under the pear trees. And to end the month a trip to Great Chishill for a guided tour of their restored open trestle postmill – thanks again to Mel for organising.
A good turnout of VMCC members, as expected, to Frank Dolman‘s funeral where the bikes formed a guard of honour as he made his final journey. Good to see so many familiar faces at the wake afterwards. Thanks all.
