Anglian Section Notes July 2019

It has been an increasing problem to find suitable venues for lunch on our Sunday runs. This is because many of the pub/restaurant locations have become popular for the Great British Public to go to on a Sunday, and therefore they need to be booked in advance. Our problem is that we can never be sure of the numbers that are likely to turn up. The run organiser may request 25 seats, but because of bad weather on the day only 10 riders appear. If the pub has turned away bookings to accommodate us, then we are not very popular. Ideal locations for our needs are the smaller places off the beaten track, such as the cafe at the Golf Club at Denver that we use for the Fenland Gallop. If you have any ideas for other venues please let me know.
