Anglian Section Notes (September 2022)
Writing these notes in July, we have recently heard of the sad loss of Frank Dolman, longstanding committee member and VMCC past-president, known by many in the club – our thoughts are with his family. A few of us managed to see Frank for the last time prior of one of our midweek rambles.
Speaking of which: Pat Meads organised an enjoyable countryside canter to Littlebury in Essex. Stuart Bennett and Jonathan Barrett led our annual cultural escapade to Ayot St. Lawrence in Hertfordshire, where one of our number was forced to remain at the pub in the sunshine awaiting a glacier-like response from the RAC. To end the month, Mike Buttars stepped in to lead us towards Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. Unbroken sunshine, old motorcycles, good company – what’s not to like!
