Anglian Section Notes December 2019

At our October Club Night we heard from Andrew Jackson of SERV (Service by Emergency Response Volunteers) who told us about the voluntary work they do. They are a charity of volunteers transporting mainly blood products, every day, night, weekend, & bank holiday, for the NHS. All in their own time, and expense. Our members dipped deep, and Andrew went away with £185 to assist their valuable work. Coincidentally, back in the 1960s I did similar work with a predecessor organisation, which subsequently folded, but the need remained, and fortunately the gap was filled. Well done guys and gals!
