Well I’m sorry to say we have cancelled this event. The weather forecast gives two yellow warnings, heavy rain most of the day and high winds. Furthermore I have a warning from Eastern Electricity of electrical failures due to power line damage. The route , a total of around 80 miles would have taken us along many small single track roads and lanes which become dangerous when flooded and covered in gravel.

The Village hall and the Pub are happy to see us next Sunday but a lot of the lads will be on their way to Spain.

So sadly the last and very popular 30s run is CANCELLED.

The route so well planned and ridden by Roger Johnson remain on record as does the Pub and Betty Newton who make cakes and tea. The ARKESDEN will feature again. As soon as Mike returns from Dorset we shall plan another date.

I will be at the start in my car at 0930 to meet anyone who arrives.

Mel Vinton.
