Anglian Section Notes September2017

A band of Angle Irons recently took themselves off to Derbyshire for the weekend. Mel Vinton reports: “The early group arrived on Thursday 29 June at Buxton in the Peak District. The hotel offered the boiler room to dry riding gear and we headed for the bar. Friday morning outside the Opera house we piled aboard a 1930s milk cart running on batteries for a cultural tour. Others, totalling 19, arrived in time for dinner. Andrew Murray (Deal Kent) brought his rigid B31, Roger Johnson his MZ and Harvey and Phil from Yorkshire. Two combos did well in the lanes. Cambridge folk live at sea level; we were stunned at the natural beauty of this county. Sunday was a perfect day to ride a classic motorcycle and John Russell, our guide completed a memorable few days.” Finally, September 24 is the 1930s Run. Full details in the Diary of Events.
